To begin with, there is no relationship between losing weight and going on a fad diet. This is because when you go on fad diet you actually gain weight instead of losing it. Fad diets require that you cut down on your calorie intake drastically. The moment you reduce your calories drastically, your body will go into starvation mode. When the body is in starvation mode, you will start burning muscles instead of body fat. As a result of the depletion in your body muscles your body metabolism will become slow. A slow body metabolism implies that you will not be able to burn a lot of calories. Since your body is not burning a lot of calories you will start gaining weight.

In my years of undertaking fitness research, I have come to find out that your behavior play a very important role in determining whether or not you are going to achieve your goal. You need to include certain strategies and behaviors in your nutritional program and training program if you want to lose weight. One such behavior is which makes it difficult for some people to lose weight is eating junk foods. Junk foods contain a lot of calories and this is why you end p gaining weight. The excess calories contained in junk foods are converted and stored as body fat.

Losing weight is the goal of many people who are overweight. The reason why they would want to lose fat is to be able to improve there physical appearance. Many overweight people suffer from self esteem issues and depression because they are not comfortable of there physical appearance. In order to improve your psychological health if you are overweight, you should start on a weight loss program. This is because according to various researches conducted on psychological health, when a person looks good they are less likely to get depressed.

There are three things you need to observe if you want to lose weight. The first thing you need to ensure is that your calorie intake is less than the calories you burn daily. This however does not imply that you drastically reduce your calorie intake. What it implies is that you should create a minimal calories deficit, so that your body does not go into starvation mode. As mentioned earlier, when your body goes into starvation mode your body metabolism slows down. If you do not create a caloric deficit you are not going to lose weight.

The second thing you must observe in order to lose weight is to perform cardio exercises. They will help increase your body metabolism leading to the burning of more calories. The third thing you should observe are weight training exercises. These exercises will help increase your lean body muscle which will help raise your body metabolism leading to the burning of more calories.
